Chef Ana

I began exploring vegan food as a way to minimize unethical consumerism in my life. As I reduced my intake of animal products, I started to feel healthier. I had suffered from chronic gastritis and a sluggish digestive system, and after trying various medications, it was a vegan diet that truly made a difference for my body.

I dove into research, studied extensively, and fell in love with the natural flavors of fruits and vegetables. To deepen my knowledge and passion, I enrolled in the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City—a health-supportive, plant-based culinary school. From my very first day, I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to the culinary arts.

While living in NYC, I worked at the French fine-dining restaurant Mas (farmhouse) under James Beard Award–winning chef Galen Zamarra. Continuing to follow my passion for plant-based cuisine, I joined ABCV, a vegan/vegetarian restaurant by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. I later moved to Detroit, where I served as lead cook at Selden Standard, developed a new menu for GreenSpace Cafe based on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and worked at the award-winning Warda Pâtisserie. As a personal chef, I’ve cooked for a variety of families with specific dietary needs—including vegan/kosher, cancer recovery, diabetes, and weight loss.

Now based in Chicagoland, I’m currently pursuing a Health Coach certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

From personal experience, I believe deeply in the positive impact a healthy, plant-based diet can have on both the body and the environment. I also understand that anyone can adopt more plant-based habits—regardless of whether or not they include animal protein in their diet. As a health coach, I honor that every person and every body is unique. My passion is to guide, educate, and prepare personalized, nourishing meals that you and your family will love.

Services

My service is customizable to your needs. In your home, I will cook meals for the week, prepare food for your dinner party or teach a private cooking class. I will work with you to create healthy, delicious meals that you and your family will love. Whether you're navigating specific dietary needs, looking to simplify your weekly routine, or hosting a special gathering, I bring creativity, care, and culinary expertise to every dish so you can feel nourished and supported at every step.
